Mesoft allows for effective cleaning of skin or wounds. Thanks to its non-woven composition, Mesoft is gentle on the skin and non-abrasive to wounds. Mesoft swabs shed fewer particles than woven swabs and are more absorbent. Used in addition to an interface (Mepitel®, Mepilex® Transfer), an alginate (Melgisorb® Plus) or any other primary dressing, Mesoft swabs allow for the absorption of excess exudate.

Application

Wound cleaning/antisepsis: open the pouch, pick up the swabs with tweezers or gloves, apply the antiseptic, clean the wound from the edges towards the center, repeat if necessary, rinse with saline solution if needed.

Cleaning/antisepsis of healthy skin before a surgical procedure: clean from the center towards the periphery.

Exudate absorption in addition to a primary dressing: place an interface or an alginate on the wound, apply the swabs over it, and secure with a bandage.
