Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test (1 test)

The Clearblue Digital test lets you know if you are pregnant or not, and if so, it indicates how many weeks since conception. It is the first electronic pregnancy test of its kind to be launched worldwide. It offers all the benefits of the Clearblue range: it is over 99% accurate from the first day of your missed period, and it is easy to use.

How does it work? It detects the pregnancy hormone hCG in your urine at any time of day, from the day your period is due, using an optical reader that analyzes the result for you and displays it in words.

Indeed, when you are expecting a baby, your body secretes a pregnancy hormone called human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). The amount of hCG in your body increases rapidly during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Although hCG levels peak between the 7th and 12th weeks, they remain higher than normal for the rest of the pregnancy and for about 3 weeks after giving birth. hCG levels remain above normal for about 9 weeks if you have had a miscarriage or an abortion.

• Before performing the test, it is absolutely imperative to insert the test stick into the holder.
• Remove the test stick from its foil wrapper.
• Remove the cap.
• Locate the blue arrows on the holder and the test stick and align them so that they point towards each other.
• Insert the test stick into the holder until it clicks into place. The 'Test ready' symbol will appear on the screen.
• Place the absorbent tip pointing downwards in your urine stream for 5 to 7 seconds (or dip the absorbent tip into a collected urine sample for 15 seconds).
• The 'Test ready' symbol will start to flash after 20 to 30 seconds. Do not eject the test stick at this stage.
• Wait 3 minutes before reading the result to see if you are pregnant or not. Some results may appear in less than a minute.
